Community with caution
The Malawi-Eye Biter is a peaceful fish as long as they are kept with tank mates that are too large to eat. Males will become aggressive and territorial around spawning. It is advised to keep several females to every male.

Current Size – 7cm - 9cm
Adult Length – 25cm
Temperature Range – 23 - 28°C
pH Range – 7.5 - 8.5
Special Requirements - A sandy substrate with plenty of rocks and caves is preferred and a strong current within the tank should be avoided.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They will eat anything that fits into their mouths. Tanks mates should be larger than 12cm in length.
Feeding – They should be fed a good quality varied died that includes crushed flake and live or frozen food.
