The Gold Denison Barb is a peaceful school fish that should be kept in groups. When content in a stable environment they display magnificent colouration. They prefer a darker aquarium with subdued lighting or shady areas. They are sensitive to poor water quality or changes in water chemistry.

Special Requirements - This is a schooling barb and should be kept in groups of 6 or more. They can be shy, especially if the aquarium is too light and open.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – Some recommended tank mates include, other smaller Barbs, Rainbowfish, Danios, small Gouramis, and many other small to medium size aquarium fish.
Ideal Number to Keep – This is a schooling barb and should be kept in groups of 6 or more.
Feeding – They are an omnivores and should be fed a good quality varied died that includes crushed flake and live or frozen food. They should also be offered spinach or green flake occasionally.
