These fish are unique to say the least, known for their ability to spit water at their prey!
One of the coolest fish we have stocked!! There narrow shaped face allows them to point and spit water.
Species – Toxotes Blythii
Current Size – 5cm
Adult Length – 15cm
Temperature Range – 23– 28°C
pH Range – 6.5 – 7.5
Special Requirements - Need a smooth substrate as they will spend most of their time on the bottom. Susceptible to high Nitrate.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are semi-aggressive so tank mates should be robust enough to handle a bit of a tussle on occasion. They will also eat anything that fits in their mouths.
Feeding – Carnivores, they will eat virtually anything that they can get in their mouths. They love bugs, anything that is on the surface they will enjoy. Crickets or mealworms!!
