The Giant Danio is definitely a ‘giant’ in the Danio world. It can grow to over 3” and is a stunning shoal fish, ideal for larger community aquariums. Being a shoal fish, they should be kept in groups of 5 or more. Although not as hardy as some other danio, they are quite tolerant to water chemistry changes as are often used as one of the first fish stocked to help mature an aquarium. They can be trouble makes, often harassing smaller and larger tanks mates but almost never damage any of them.
