Known as the stripped Lamprologus These rock dwellers are found on the Eastern side of the Lake. They stay fairly small over averaging around 7cm maximum size.

Adult Length – 7cm

Temperature Range – 23 - 25°C

pH Range – 7.8 – 9.0

Special Requirements - All African Cichlids are territorial. They need space and a plenty of hiding spaces. Rocks! These fish love to make their home in caves, or in tunnels they burrow under rocks.

Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are a schooling fish that pair off only to breed, so are actually best kept in a group. They are generally peaceful and non-aggressive with their own kind. 

Feeding – For optimal health, feed this omnivorous fish cichlid pellets, flake foods, and frozen foods, such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and Cyclops.
