Spotted Talking Cat
Agamyxis pectinifrons
The spotted talking catfish (Agamyxis pectinifrons) is a unique and hardy freshwater species native to the Amazon Basin. Known for the striking white or yellow spots on their dark bodies, these fish are popular in home aquariums. They belong to the family Doradidae, famous for their ability to produce sound by rubbing their pectoral fins, hence the "talking" name. These bottom-dwellers are nocturnal, hiding during the day and becoming active at night. They thrive in a well-filtered tank with hiding spots and a soft substrate.

pH Range – 6.5 – 7.8
Special Requirements: Talking cats have serrated edges to their pectoral fins that clamp together when they have cause to. Do not catch with a net as they can catch their fins on the netting and be difficult to remove without damaging the fish.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are peaceful and robust so can tolerate most large fish environments

Feeding – They will accept most food, including catfish pellets and frozen blood work etc.wing catfish that needs space. Prefers a soft substrate.
