Originating in China, it gained popularity in Japan during the Edo period and eventually worldwide. The characteristic head growth, resembling a raspberry or a brain, sets Orandas apart. Their scales can be metallic or matte, and they come in various colors, including red, orange, black, and calico. Orandas are known for their graceful swimming and sociable nature, making them popular choices for aquarium enthusiasts.
