Red Tailed Rock Goby
Sicyopterus Lagocephalus
Community
A rare fish, the red tail rock goby. Truely beautiful in colouration, this fish grows larger than most species around it. Adults can average around 10cm in size. As like all the gobies they like the fast flowing water and rocks to anchor themselves to. Make sure good flow is present in the tank.
Current Size – 8cm
Adult Length – 10cm
Temperature Range – 21 - 26°C
pH Range – 6.2 – 7.0
Special Requirements - Most importantly the water must be clean and well-oxygenated at all times so we suggest the use of either an over-sized filter, additional powerheads, flow pumps, or airstones.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – Most small rasboras, tetras, loaches, and other small, peaceful fish are good tankmates.
Feeding – Omnivorous. Typically accepts some dry foods and frozen foods, but requires ample algae and biofilm for longevity
Please note – Some images used are library photos and will show the colour potential at a fully mature size, as our fish are juveniles they may vary.
We always aim to supply the fish as close to the purchase size as possible. On rare occasions if this is not possible we will contact you.
The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.
