The Zig Zag eel is another of the Spiny Eel family. They are relatively peaceful (although they will eat small tank mates). They are mainly nocturnal, hiding for most of the day. A tank should be dimly lit and have plenty of hiding places if your tyre track eel is to thrive. They do have a tendency to burrow and so may uproot your plants.
They can be aggressive towards their own kind so it is advised that only individual specimens are kept in a tank.
