The Peaceful Betta is a close cousin of the Siamese fighter but without the fight. It prefers heavily planted tanks and is not overly keen on large open areas. They are tolerant of a wide range of water chemistry and temperature as their natural environment is very variable.

Please let us know your colour preference and we will do out best to oblige.

Species – Peaceful Betta - Betta Imbellis

Current Size – 3cm- 4cm

Adult Length – 7cm

Temperature Range – 24 - 28°C

pH Range – 6.0 – 8.0

Special Requirements - They are relatively easy to keep and are very hardy once settled, providing that they are not being bullied.

Tanks Mates and Compatibility – Not recommended for the standard community aquarium. Its care requirements and disposition mean it is best kept alone or with very peaceful species. Some small cyprinids and loaches that inhabit similar environments in nature are suitable, but proper research prior to purchase is essential and in most cases it is best maintained alone.

Feeding – They are not fussy eaters, accepting flakes and pellets along with live and frozen food.

We always aim to supply the fish as close to the purchase size as possible. On rare occasions if this is not possible we will contact you.

The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.

    Review:
I don't know about "let us know your colour preference". I bought two and asked for "any bright colour" but the two I received are both a rather dull dun colour. Maybe this is because they are both females (though I asked for a pair) or maybe they are juveniles. However they are healthy and inquisitive fish.
