The zebra plec is endemic to the middle of Brazil's Rio Xingu. This fish is a spectacular catfish that is wanted by nearly every fish keeper. These fish are truely stunning are well worth the money!

They require a deep fast flowing, well oxygenated environment and need plenty of places to hide themselves as they are rather shy.

Temperature Range 26-29°C

pH Range: 6.0-7.5

Special Requirements:  Require high oxygen 

Tanks Mates:  They are a good community fish as they are peaceful..

Feeding:  They are an carnivous and should be fed high protein pellets and frozen food
