Adult Length:  45-60cm

Temperature Range 23-28°C

pH Range: 6.5-7.5

Special Requirements:  Because of their immense adult size, a fully grown Albino Spotted Sailfin Pleco eventually requires a massive aquarium ideally around 400L+ with heavy-duty filtration to manage their bioload. You must include natural, unsealed driftwood (such as Mopani Wood or Malaysian driftwood). Plecos actively rasp on the wood to consume cellulose and lignin, which are vital for their digestive systems. Without wood to graze on, they can suffer from fatal digestive blockages.

Tanks Mates:  Generally docile, though they can become territorial with other bottom-dwellers in confined spaces. Medium-to-Large Schooling FishSilver Dollars, Tinfoil Barbs, Large Tetras (Congo or Bleeding Heart)They stay in the upper and middle water layers, leaving the bottom entirely to the pleco. They are too large to be accidentally swallowed. Peaceful Mid-Water GiantsSeverums, Angelfish, GouramisStoic, slower-moving fish thrive with plecos because neither species bothers the other. Semi-Aggressive / Large CommunityArowanas, Oscar Cichlids, African CichlidsBecause Sailfin Plecos are tough and heavily armored, they can easily hold their own in predatory or large cichlid tanks. The cichlids usually ignore them entirely.  Do not house them with other Sailfins or Common Plecos unless the tank is thousands of litres. They will violently battle over the best hiding caves and driftwood.

Feeding:  Primarily algae and plant matter, supplemented with sinking algae wafers, vegetables (like zucchini), and occasional meaty foods.
