The Australian Arowana are realtively peaceful fish, but as well as needing a big tank they also have big appetites so we would not advise housing them with tank mates that are small enough to fit in their mouth.
A good sized tank with a moderate degree of moving water is prefered along with a secure tank cover as they are know to escape if given the chance.

Temperature Range – 20 - 30°C
pH Range – 5.0 – 7.5
Special Requirements - A large tank with some surface cover and water movement
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are mostly peaceful as long as tankmantes are to large to swallow. Aggressive & territorial tank mates should also be avoided.
Feeding – They are carnivorous and enjoy meaty foods including praws, white fish, frozen or fresh tubifex, bloodworm etc.

We always aim to supply the fish as close to the purchase size as possible. On rare occasions if this is not possible we will contact you.
The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.
