Rift Lake Community – with caution.
The stunning electric blue of the Hap Ahli can be a real spectacle. This is a semi-aggressive malawi cichlid that can be kept with other cichlids of similar nature but, unless you have a very large tank, you should only keep one male of this variety.

Temperature Range – 23 - 28°C
pH Range – 7.5 – 8.5
Special Requirements - All African Cichlids are territorial. They need space and a plenty of hiding spaces.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They can be kept in larger aquariums with other durable African Cichlids and Cats. Hap Ahlis are rubust enough to tolerate Mbunas.
Feeding – The Hap Ahli is a carnivore and should be fed live food, frozen foods and a good high protein cichlid pellet.
