Cichlid Community with Caution - Mbunas
The Yellow Tail Acei is a beautiful Mbuna cichlid from Lake Malawi. Characterised by their blue body and yellow tail, they are regarded as a fairly peaceful Mbuna and so can be housed with peacocks and haps whereas othe Mbuna are less suited.

Special Requirements - All African Cichlids are territorial to other males. The more rocks and hiding places they have the better.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – The Acei is a fairly peaceful Mbuna. It can be kept with other Mbuna’s or with some of the tougher Haps and peacocks. It can also be kept with Synodontis cats.

Feeding – This cichlid is an omnivore. Their diet should consist of vegetable matter. An all-purpose, high quality cichlid formula can be used as a basic diet. Including vegetable supplements to their diet will help with overall health.
