Piranha are very agressive fish, they will likley arrive with fins a bit torn, but they will be otherwise healthy and the fins will heal over time.
Species only tank
The Piranha has a reputation that does not always befit reality. Rather than it being a maneater, it is a peaceful fish when not feeding which can be a real benefit if you are looking for a fish that you can relax and observe in the tank. They like a well planted tank (although they do like to eat a plant on occasion) with subdued lighting. They do produce a lot of waste due to the high protein level of their diet and so filtration has to be up to the job.
They are a shoal fish and should be kept in groups of 6 or more.
Species – Red Bellied Piranha – Serrasalmus nattereri

Special Requirements - Please research this fish fully before deciding to buy them.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – There are very few fish that can be kept with piranha. If the piranha is mature and well fed, they often leave little fish alone but we wouldn’t recommend trying it. Any fins that are exposed will be seen as food!
Feeding – They are omnivores with a penchant for protein. In the aquarium, juveniles can be offered frozen or fresh bloodworm, small earthworms, chopped prawn and suchlike while adults will accept strips of fish flesh, whole prawns/shrimp, mussels, live river shrimp, larger earthworms, etc
