Tetraodon Baileyi
Hairy Pufferfish Tetraodon Baileyi 10cm
“Meet the charismatic Hairy Pufferfish Tetraodon baileyi, a captivating addition to any aquarist’s collection. Originating from the freshwater rivers of Southeast Asia, these pufferfish are known for their endearing hairy appearance due to specialized appendages covering their bodies. With a moderate care level, they thrive in well-maintained tanks and delight in a carnivorous diet, relishing small crustaceans, snails, and frozen or live foods.
When considering tank mates, caution is advised as these pufferfish have a territorial nature and may display aggression towards other fish, especially during feeding times. Opt for companions of similar size and disposition to ensure a harmonious tank environment.
Experienced aquarists familiar with managing aggressive species and maintaining water parameters will find these pufferfish a rewarding addition to their setup. A spacious tank with pristine water conditions, including a pH range of 7.0-8.0 and temperatures between 75-82°F (24-28°C), is ideal for their well-being.
Enliven your aquarium with the unique charm of the Hairy Pufferfish Tetraodon baileyi, but be prepared to provide the specialized care and attention these delightful creatures deserve.”
