Looking for a way to ensure clear water results when setting up a new aquarium? Eheim Karbon is a filter carbon specifically designed for use during new tank installations. The adsorptive filter media helps to extract harmful substances from the water in order to ensure that your tank is safe for the introduction of livestock. 

 

The 1 litre filter carbon attracts materials such as chlorine from mains water and residues of water treatments and cleaning agents such as pesticides and colourants from your tank water, and retains them for successful removal. Eheim Karbon should be used for small amounts of time only; for example up to 4 weeks in the layering set-up phase after the mechanical and biological filter media. After long periods of time, the materials can become loose and re-enter the tank water, thus using Eheim Karbon for short amounts of time is always advised.
