The Oriental weather loach is a very active fish that can grow large and so requires a spacious tank. They are very tolerant of varying temperatures and water parameters. They are very social fish that should be kept in groups of 3 or more. The substrate should be fine or smooth in order to protect their delicate barbels. They should also be provided with sheltered areas to hide in when they wish to. Weather loach are famous for becoming more active and erratic when the air pressure is low.

Special Requirements - They are an active fish that requires plenty of space. The tank will need a well fitting lid.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – The weather loach is not aggressive at all but tank mates have to be tolerant of how active the weather loach will be.
Feeding – Weather loaches need a varied diet. They will eat pretty much anything and are a good fish to help clean up a cooler aquarium.

The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.
