The Nicargua Cichlid can be a peaceful cichlid but can also be territoral and can grow to a substantial size.

pH Range: 7.0-8.0

Special Requirements: They enjoy a well planted tank with plenty of cover and hiding places. 

Tanks Mates:  It is best to avoid any agressive tank mates. They will live quite happily with large Barbs and Catfish. 

Feeding: . They are not fussy eaters, accepting flakes and pellets along with live and frozen food.
