Red Terror – Cichlasoma festae

The Red Terror is a stricking cichlid when mature. They are a large cichlid that requires plenty of space. They are a hardy fish and relatively easy to care for however they can be fiercely territorial and will eat small fish. They enjoy good flow rates with plenty of cover.

Adult Length: 30cm (Females) 45cm (Males

Temperature Range 25-28°C

pH Range: 6.5-7.5

Special Requirements:  Fairly easy to keep.

Tanks Mates:  They are territorial and will eat smaller fish or invertebrates that they can swallow. The can be kept with other fish of the same temperement, ideally larger so they won't be a bully.

Feeding: . The Red Terror is predominantly a carnivore and will eat most prepared and frozen foods, including freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, and Cichlid pellets.
