The Pearlscale Cichlid, also known as the "Texas Cichlid" is a real beauty and would make a great addition to a Cichlid community provding tank mates are robust and are capable to stading up to this territorial beast.  
It will also enjoy digging up a planted aquarium.                                      

Adult Length:  30cm

Temperature Range: 24 - 26°C

pH Range: 7.0

Special Requirements: A large tank with plenty of swimming space is essential, with plenty of rocks and wood for them to use as territories.

Tanks Mates:  The Pearlscale Cichlid is not a community fish and should be kept with similar sized/bigger tank mates that share the same temperament. Anything smaller will be seen as diiner!!

Feeding: . The Pearlscale Cichlid is not fussy and will eat pretty much anything on offer, including smaller tank mates!
