False Yellow Jacket Cichlid - Parachromis motaguensis

The fish you will recieve is still juvenile and are yet to produce their beautiful colours in full.                                                                                                                       

The False Yellow Jacket Cichlid is a truly stunning fish with gorgeous colours but they can be agressive to other tank mates, especially when breeding. They are often kept in large South American cichlid setups with other similar agressive species but if they pair up and start breeding then all other tank mates need to look out.

They will redecorate you tank to their liking and they love to dig and uproot plants.

Adult Length: 25-30cm

Temperature Range 24-28°C

pH Range: 6.5-7.5

Special Requirements: You need a minimum of 55 gallons to keep one of these beauties.

Tanks Mates: They may or may not do ok with other, large cichlids.

Feeding: . They will eat pretty much anything but they do have a big appetite!
