Panda Uaru Cichlid - Uaru fernandezyepezi

Imported from Colombia, these Panda Uaru really are a majestic fish, especially as they mature and their colours develop. 

Community with Caution

The Panda Uaru cichlid is a relatively gentle giant and subtley beautiful South American from the blackwaters of the Rio Atabapo system. They are a peaceful fish that is territorial but rarely overly aggressive and can be kept with large tetras and other similar soft water loving peaceful South American fish.
                 

Adult Length cm: 20 cm.

Temperature Range: 23 - 29°C

pH Range: 5.0-7.5

Special Requirements: They prefer a slow moving aquarium. They should not be introduced to an immature aquarium as they are susceptible to deteriorating water quality.

Tanks Mates:  The Uaru Cichlid is a  reletively peaceful South American cichlid and so tank mates should be picked carefully. It does need quality hiding caves and soft water to be truly happy.

Feeding: . The Uaru is an omnivore and is not fussy about its diet. It will accept the majority of dry feeds and all live and frozen food.
