The Bleeding Heart is generally peaceful although the males may fight with each other during breeding time. Just like other tetras, they like to live in a shoal of 6 or more. They are easy to keep and fairly hardy to a variety of different water parameters

pH Range – 6.0 – 7.5
Tanks Mates and Compatibility - They are a very peaceful fish that should be kept in a shoal. Should not be kept with anything too boisterous.

Feeding – They are an omnivores and should be fed a good quality varied diet that includes crushed flake and live or frozen food.
