Please research this catfish before considering owning one. It will grow very fast. It is messy and can reach lengths of over 1 metre. This is not for the average aquarium keeper
This is a hybrid of the Redtail Catfish & Tiger Shovelnose Catfish and is a very fast grower so a substantial size tank will be required. It is actually easy to keep if you have the right tank to house it in. It has a big appetite and so filtration should be up to the job.
They are not known to be aggresive but they will make a meal out of anything that will fit in its mouth!

Tanks Mates and Compatibility – This cat fish is not particularly aggressive but , like most cats, if it can fit in its mouth then it will eat it!
Feeding – They will accept frozen and dried food, along with pellets and flakes.
