These are a truly stunning smaller species of loach. Over the last few years they have become popular with all aquarium keepers.
These little guys enjoy a cooler, temperate environment. They love the highly oxygenated waters created by wave makers of faster flowing filters.

pH Range – 5.5 – 7.5
Special Requirements - Can be susceptible to high Nitrate and regular water changes are a must.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are a peaceful plec that can be kept with any small fish. They are happy in cooler aquariums.
Feeding – They are an omnivores and should be fed a good quality varied died that includes a good percentage of vegetable matter. Cucumber makes an excellent treat for them.
