Species – Black Lancer Catfish - Bagroides Melapterus

pH Range – 6.5 – 7.8
Special Requirements: Due to how fast they grow and how large they get they will need at least a 500lt tank with plenty of open space. These Catfish do not need gravel, and a layer of gravel more than 1/4" thick will usually fill with bits of uneaten food that will contaminate the water.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They'll eat very small fish like Neons, Guppies, and other fish small enough fit into their mouths.
Feeding – They are Omnivorous so will eat almost anything and everything from sinking pellets and algae wafers to meaty foods fozen or live including daphnia, bloodworms, brine shrimp etc
