Petrochromis trewavasae Moliro is a striking cichlid fish native to Lake Tanganyika in East Africa. Known for its vibrant coloration, Moliro variant displays a deep red or orange hue, enhancing its allure among aquarium enthusiasts. This herbivorous species thrives in rocky habitats and exhibits unique social behaviors, making it a captivating aquarium choice.

Special Requirements - All African Cichlids are territorial to other males. The more rocks and hiding places they have the better. This species are very susceptible to African Bloat, also called Malawi Bloat. There seems to be no explainable rationale as to its cause.
Feeding – This cichlid is an omnivore. Their diet should consist of vegetable matter. An all purpose, high quality cichlid formula can be used as a basic diet. Including vegetable supplements to their diet will help with overall health.
