The red banded goby, a freshwater species, showcases distinct crimson stripes adorning its slender physique. Preferring riverine environments, it forms mutually beneficial partnerships with freshwater shrimps, contributing significantly to ecosystem dynamics.

Adult Length – 7cm
Temperature Range – 22 – 26 °C
pH Range – 6.5 – 7.5
Special Requirements - They like nice clean water. Regular water changes to keep down the nitrate are recommended.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They are a peaceful fish so will be fine in most community set ups.
Feeding – They can be picky feeders although we work hard to make sure all of ours accept dry food without a problem. If you have an issue with getting them to take food, then frozen bloodworm is always a winner!

We always aim to supply the fish as close to the purchase size as possible. On rare occasions if this is not possible we will contact you.
The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.
