Taiwan Reef Cichlid
Protomelas sp. Steveni Taiwan
Do not be mistaken by the name of this fish, they are not marine nor are they from China! They are from an area in Lake Malawi called the Taiwan reef. Addorned with deep blues and a vibrant orange these cichlid mix exellently with other african cichlids.

Adult Length – 12cm
Temperature Range – 25 – 28°C
pH Range – 7.5 – 8.5
Special Requirements - All African Cichlids are territorial. They need space and a plenty of hiding spaces.
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – Other Mbunas and synodi catfish are popular - Mbuna are agressive fish and will eat and attack smaller species
Feeding – These are omnivorous and can easily be fed in an aquarium on such live or frozen foods as: bloodworms, mosquito larvae, crustaceans, snails, and Tubifex. These fish also readily take pellets and flakes.

The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.
