Slender Hemiodus Red Tail
Hemiodus gracilis
A peaceful freshwater fish that originates from South America. It can grow up to 7.5 cm (3 inches) in length. The Slender Hemiodus prefers a planted aquarium with a sandy substrate and some driftwood or rocks for hiding places. It is an omnivore and will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, frozen foods, and algae wafers.

Temperature Range – 16 - 24°C
pH Range – 6.0 – 7.5
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – These are community fish however best kept with fish of a similar size becuase they are likley to eat smaller tank mates.
Feeding – Not a fussy eater, will accept most pellet foods and will also enjoy live foods.

The fish are selected at random however you are welcome to make a note on the order and the fish manager will do his best for you, requests are dependent on stock at the time of your order.
