Black Tiger Badis

Dario sp. 'Myanmar'

A rare and beautiful nano fish native to northern Myanmar. It displays striking red, black, and cream vertical stripes, with black and blue highlights on the fins of mature males. This peaceful micropredator requires a diet of live and frozen meaty foods like daphnia or brine shrimp. It does best in a planted aquarium with plenty of cover, as it is a somewhat timid fish that can be outcompeted for food. The Black Tiger Badis is a unique and desirable addition to the aquarium hobby, though it can be challenging to find and care for properly.
