Rasbora lacrimula is a small, peaceful freshwater fish native to Southeast Asia, particularly found in blackwater streams of Borneo. This species thrives in acidic, tannin-rich waters and features a slender, silvery body with a distinctive dark stripe running along its length. Preferring to be in schools, it requires a well-planted aquarium with soft lighting. As an omnivore, it feeds on small invertebrates and plant matter. Ideal for community tanks, Rasbora lacrimula adds subtle beauty to any setup.

Tanks Mates and Compatibility – Similarly to other species of rasbora these fish can easily be seen as a snack provided their tank mates are large enough. These rasboras are best suited to nano aquariums with similar sized tank mates.

Feeding – They are true omnivores and require a quality varied diet. They will eat most dry foods along with live and frozen food.
